The best cinnamon rolls I've tasted yet... try this recipe and you would be glad you did. This recipe was inspired by one of my foodie-friends on Instagram, @tripple-tees
Ingredients
3 cups of plain flourHalf cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp instant yeast
3 tbsp of butter, melted
100 ml of lukewarm water
80 ml of milk
1 egg
For the Filling
5 tbsp butter, melted1/4 cup of sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
Method
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, set aside half cup of flourIn another bowl, mix lukewarm water, milk and melted butter
Now, stir the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients, add the egg and mix all together to form a dough, Be sure to add extra flour, a little at a time until the dough is very handy and not sticky in the bowl. When you get a stretch, yet non-sticky dough, set aside for about 20 minutes
In the mean time, mix the sugar and cinnamon powder for the filling, also, generously oil a baking pan and set aside
After 20 minutes, spread some flour on a work-space and roll the dough into a rectangle of about 40 by 20 cm.
Spread melted butter over the dough and then sprinkle the sugar-cinnamon mixture all over the dough.
Roll the dough up in a using the longer length, divide into small bits and place in the pan
Cover with a lid and place in a warm environment for about 90 minutes or until the rolls are double in size
Glaze with sugar and melted butter mix (this is however, optional)
Preheat oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes
Once baked, allow to cool and serve as you wish
I glazed mine with melted chocolates and milk mixture....It tasted sooooo good.
Let me know how yours went down.
Enjoyyyyy
