COKE INFUSED CHICKEN WINGS

For the love of Coke and Chicken
This recipe is dedicated to all coke and chicken lovers out there...xoxo

This recipe was inspired by Chef Stone of Red Dish Chronicles, he inspires me a lot and I'm glad i was able to catch few tips he shared recently on his 15 days Olympics Wings Chronicles on Snapchat

I believe the past few months, for me has been very educating, as I have come to realize that there's joy in trying out new recipes, adding your own tweak to things and making the meal turn out extra nice.

Ingredients

About 2 kilos Chicken wings
1 bottle of Coca cola
5 Paprika (long tatashe)
1 cup of vinegar
4 Garlic cloves
Salt and Black pepper to taste
Sugar / Honey
1 tsp of Cinnamon
Olive oil
1 cup of Lemon juice
Half cup of Ketchup

Method:

  • Wash wings with lemon juice, and garnish with black pepper, set aside

  • Blend together, paprika, vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic and onions, set aside
  • In a pan, pour in the bottle of coke, stir in the pepper mix, ketchup and cinnamon

  • Bring to boil until the sauce is half the content

  • Allow to cool and stir in the chicken wings

  • Place in the fridge and marinate overnight or for about 1 hour

  • Heat oven to about 200-250 degree celcuis
  • Spread baking pan with parchment paper and place wings
  • Garnish with extra spices and herbs (i used dried rosemary and spring onions) of choice
  • Sprinkle olive oil on the pan
  • Heat in the oven for about 30-40 minutes or until well cooked.

Enjoy...
