Prawn Sauce

Mum's birthday was on the 9th and I decided to threat her just as special as she was.
Initial plan was to go out for dinner o...but as usual, the Lagos struggle set in...I mean, there was no fuel in the car, and the queue for fuel was "gangsta" so we were literally "home bound" so i decided to make a special delicacy...

This sauce is very easy...I mean, I literally just fried the pepper mixture to stupor *lol* and it came out really lovely.

Mum even gave feedback o...she said the meal was more like a 5-star restaurant- classy kinda meal...hehehe...she enjoyed every bite and that made me smile...

Ingredients

1 large onion: sliced
Tomatoes, sliced/diced
green bell pepper, diced
red habanero pepper
thyme, basil and onion spices
knorr cubes
spring onions, sliced
salt to taste
Prawns...of course
Oil, enough to fry the sauce

Method

Rinse and boil prawns for 6-8 minutes , then set aside
In a pot, heat oil and then fry onions until its light brown in colour
Then, add the tomatoes and pepper
Add the spices as well and leave to fry
Fry for 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on the quantity of the pepper,
NOTE: Stir the mixture at intervals so that it does not stick to the pot or burn.
Now add the prawns, knorr cubes and salt to taste.
Add the sliced spring onions as well
Stir and reduce heat, allow to steam for some minutes. (This process makes the prawns mingle with the sauce *lol*)

Serve with your favorite grains or pasta...

Enjoy...
