CHICKEN-SUYA SKEWERS

Chicken skewers is a very easy finger food served at events. I believe they are pretty easy and could be munched at the convenience of our homes as well...so here goes a
simple homemade chicken suya skewer recipe

Ingredients

Boneless Chicken (cut into bit sizes)
Suya spice
Salt/seasoning cubes
Onions and bell peppers for garnish
Olive oil/ Canola oil
Skewers

Method

  • Mix Suya spice, basil leaves, knorr/salt to taste
  • Rinse and marinate chicken in the suya spice mixture for 2 hours or longer (the longer the marinate, the deeper the flavour)
  • Soak Skewers in water for 30 minutes (skewers are soaked to prevent skewers from burning when they're placed in the grill/oven)
  • Cut bell peppers and Onions to bite size chapes as well
  • Stick in the chicken, onions and peppers into the skewers

  • Heat the oven. place baking sheet on tray and sprinkle some oil the sheet.
  • Place stuffed skewers on the tray and grill for about 30-40 minutes (At intervals, sprinkle some oil and suya spice on the skewers, this improves the flavors of the skewers)
  • Enjoy....
